Doreen Hannigan I have been painting since my retirement trn years ago. I have tried most mediums but enjoy my pastel and watercolours the most. I belong to Grange and Cartmel Art Societies plus a painting group at Witherslack. I have done several portraits of animals but enjoy botanical works, as gardening has always been my next interest. The Lake District offers us so many beautiful scenes to paint - I tend to sketch and photograph a lot of my images I am keen to paint, this way I can work on the paintings in my studio.
